Mt. Bromo and The Sea of Sand

Hey mates, happy new year 2014! Hopefully this year will be much better than the previous ones.
Sorry for lack update. I have been occupied by the new job since September.

Anyway, i had an opportunity to visit Mt. Bromo in East Java. Covering about 5.000 hectare in a height of 2.392 metre from above sea level, Bromo in National park of Bromo Tengger Semeru is remarkably unique with a huge sandy area. The name Bromo derived from the word "Brahma" (one of Hindu Gods), is the active volcano and famous as a tourism icon of East Java.
Mount Bromo is populated by the society of Tengger tribe who believe it is a place where a prince sacrificing himself for his family. The people here celebrate the festival of Yadnya Kasada /Kasodo once a year by presenting vegetables, chickens and money to be throwed into the crater of volcano and devoted into their Gods.

With its gorgoeus scenery of mountain and the sea of sand, staring at the beautiful sunrise and its evening sky from Bromo hill's is definitely an unforgetable experience when you visit Mt. Bromo.
